Changing of the guards. A day at the Acropolis Museum and then and an evening hike up to the Acropolis. A good way to say goodbye to Athens. The Acropolis Museum was flipping amazing. The architecture was mind blowing. Built above the surrounding ruins of the Acropolis, much of the ground floor is transparent so you can see the old ruins beneath you. The top floor is aligned and in direct proportion with the Parthenon so that the relics are displayed in relative situ. It is a marvel of both architecture and curatorial design.
