Six years today without my mum. Not sure how I’ve managed to stumble this far in life without her no-nonsense wisdom, her constant comfort, guidance, support and love, her incredible, boundless brain full of knowledge and her hilarious dry wit. It’s the things I miss about her most which have best equipped me to tackle the world without her. To my mum, my best friend, my companion, my cohort… I miss you and love you in equal amounts. Spare a thought, raise a glass, or share a memory if you get a chance today, for an amazing woman, a life well lived and someone still very much missed. Nan Brooker.
